The Ferrari 575M Maranello is a two-seat, two-door, grand tourer built by Ferrari. Launched in 2002, it is essentially an updated 550 Maranello featuring minor styling changes from Pininfarina.
Updates from the 550 included a renewed interior, but with substantial improvements mechanically, including bigger brake discs, a larger and more powerful engine, a different weight distribution, refined aerodynamics and fluid-dynamics and an adaptive suspension set-up (the four independent suspensions are also controlled by the gearbox, to minimize pitch throughout the 200-milliseconds shift time). Two six-speed transmissions were available, a conventional manual gearbox and, for the first time on a Ferrari V12.
Becker in-car entertainment system, Traction Control, Sport button, Electric windows, Air Conditioning, Electric seats, driver and passenger airbag, 18 inch wheels with black calipers. Safety Features: 4-wheel ABS, Remote anti-theft alarm system, Emergency braking assist, Front and rear ventilated disc brakes, Engine immobilizer, Front fog/driving lights, 2 front headrests, Front seatbelt pretensioners, Stability control, Traction control and Electronic brake force distribution.
Finished in one of the great understated Ferrari colours, blu pozzi, this 575m shows off its Pininfarina lines with perfection. A pristine example that would be well placed in any private collectors collection. All lights and trim are similarly presented with no scuffs or marks to report. Genuine Ferrari covers (both external bodywork and internal seats/steering wheel) included.
The cuoio leather interior is a perfect match for the dark blue exterior, boasting a sharp, smart contrast. The leather seats and interior trimming is beautifully stitched together and remains soft and supple, the cabin still retaining a fresh leather smell. Brushed Aluminium bezels around the air vents combined with the F1 paddles and silver gearbox control unit add another depth to the luxury interior. The rear luggage shelf is immaculate as is the spacious boot ideal for GT cruising (this includes the original leather wallet, books and Ferrari tool kit).
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
This excellent low mileage example shows very little signs of wear under the hood. Magneti Marelli’s semi-automatic (Electro hydraulic manual) ‘F1′ gearbox. The model number refers to total engine displacement in litres, whilst the ‘M’ is an abbreviation of modificato, (modified).
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
These 18” wheels are wrapped in Pirelli P Zero Rosso tires which are in good condition along with the wheels. The Brembo braking system being the perfect braking system for this 575 pulling the car up.
This Ferrari was purchased in 2002 and sent to CA. It is currently in NY for sale at this time.
