1970 Mercedes Benz 280SE 3.5
SOLD ON CONSIGNMENT

1970 Mercedes Benz 280SE 3.5 Coupe

This 3.5 Coupe was sold new in Italy and remained there until it was imported into the U.S. in 1986, detailed by its customs letter. As a European-spec model, this 280 SE was optioned with the rare 4-speed manual transmission that was not offered here in the U.S. Some reports have less than 300 of these 3.5 Coupes being produced with this 4-speed manual transmission.

Showing just 85,000 Kilometers (52,800 miles) from new, this 3.5 Coupe is an excellent running example that presents well throughout. It is accompanied by all its original books, copy of its data card, first aid kit, and Italian service records from the 1970s and 1980s, and service and parts receipts from 2000s through 2017. All body lines are excellent and this 3.5 Coupe shows no signs of any accidents or damage. It is exactly as one would expect of a proper and well maintained 280 in all areas, structurally, cosmetically and mechanically.

As one of Mercedes Benz's final hand-built models, this rarely spec'd 3.5 Coupe is ready for immediate show and touring use.
